"You Can Do it Now!"
"True repentance is about transformation, not torture or torment." This is one of my favorite General Conference talks, given by Dieter F. Uchtdorf. He's a great speaker, and this talk has taught me much about repentance and the meaning of Christ's mercy in our lives. Apply this 2x daily for significant results.
Read the whole talk at:

It's great! And it's worth your time :)

"Faith Unto Repentance"
Excerpt from Matthew Chapter 9:
19 And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.
19 And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.
20 ¶And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an a issue of b blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee a whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
Just like the woman in the story, we can turn to Jesus Christ when we are not complete; whether that be an issue that needs to be repented of, some mistakes and imperfections, or even a need for a friend in a time of need, I strongly testify that Christ will help you as you turn to him! I know that, because I have come closer to Jesus Christ and felt strongly that He loves me and cares enough for me to get me through the challenges I face.
So what does faith have to do with it?
In Alma 32 it reads:
21 And now as I said concerning faith—afaith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye bhope for things which are cnot seen, which are true.
The Atonement, which is the power of Jesus Christ to make us "whole" in a spiritual sense, is something that is hard to understand. It's definitely unseen, which means we really need to believe it exists in order to access its healing power. How grateful I am for the power of the Atonement, and I testify that Jesus Christ's Atonement truly can heal you from all heartache and guilt from past sins. That's because I've used it, and have seen the real and incredible effect that has taken place in my life.
So, just like the woman, we must have faith in that Christ is the Savior in order to access that power. But we don't need a lot of faith; Jesus Christ tells us in Matthew 17:20 that if we have faith as a "grain of a mustard seed," we can move mountains. The important part is that we act on the faith that we have! I know that as we do it, we will find peace, joy, comfort, and relief from all guilt. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

My Purpose as a Missionary
1. "For the fulness of mine intent is that I may persuade men to come unto the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, and be save." 1 Nephi Ch.6, v. 4 (Pg. 12 of the Book of Mormon)
2. My missionary purpose is to "Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end." (Preach My Gospel, pg. 1)
So, if the reason I do EVERYTHING is to help others come closer to Jesus Christ, I'm fulfilling my Missionary Purpose (#2) and
following the example of Nephi as stated in #1! I hope and pray that what I write on this blog fulfills that purpose, and helps YOU come closer to Jesus Christ. I know that as you take the steps required to come closer to Jesus Christ, you will be happier, because God is the source of all happiness.
I write these things in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
